Kellie Martin is an American actress and filmmaker popularly known for her roles as Christy Huddleston in the period drama 'Christy", Rebecca Thatcher on the drama about families Life Goes On> and Lucy Knight for the medical drama ER. Her other notable roles include her title character in The Hailey Dean Mystery series. Born to a department-store buyer as well as a teacher in kindergarten, Martin began her acting career when she was just seven when her aunt, who served as an nanny to Michael Landon's children helped her land an appearance in the 1982 show 'Father Murphy'. When she completed her studies at Yale University in 1982, Martin took her acting career more seriously. She was able to land important roles on TV as well as on the big screen. Martin as well as acting, she is also a talented photographer and ballet dancer. Mother of two daughters, she's the Lupus ambassador and has been spreading awareness of the disease every day since the death of her sister at 19 years old.
